In a letter of recommendation a former co-worker — and my all-time favorite Network Engineer — Tim Byers wrote, “Amy lives to learn and learns to create.” Those few words sum up my overall strategy and how I can offer the most value to you, your mission, or your business.

A Celebration of Women in Social Media — #SMDames13 (Official Hashtag)
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 23, 2013 — On Thursday, November 21, 2013 Stark ReAlity Enterprises, Inc. and Yuspie, LLC are teaming up to sponsor a half-day unconference to promote social media usage among women — not only as a viable career choice, but also as a tool to make the world a better place.
“Amy and I had multiple conversations online and offline about the lack of women in social media, particularly in Indiana, so we wanted to team up and celebrate the amazing, albeit few women already leveraging social media for brands and businesses in Indiana and beyond in an effort to inspire and encourage other women to grow their social media presence,” according to Erin Albert, CEO of Yuspie, LLC.
“Historically the collective voice of our species has been masculine.” Amy Stark points out. “Thanks to technology women now have the chance for an equal say in the global dialog. Social media plays an important role for at least two reasons: it’s a growth industry providing flexible jobs for women – Mommy Bloggers and Chief Digital Officers, and it provides a space to master techniques on spreading brand messages – and compassionate ideas – to the largest audience possible. Don’t you wonder what will happen when our collective voice takes on a more feminine tone?”
Albert and Stark formed an advisory council for this event consisting of other prominent Indiana women in social media, including: Lorraine Ball of Roundpeg, Tiffany Benedict Berkson of Historic Indianapolis, Dana M. Nelson a Social Strategist and Teacher from Evansville, and Crystal Grave of Snappening.
The Inaugural Social Media Dames Unconference will take place at Miles Printing — an Indiana and Indianapolis Certified WBE – located at 4923 W 78th, 46268. The unconference will begin at 10 a.m. EST, conclude at 3 p.m., and will feature 18 influential women sharing short stories about their personal social media best practices. Attendees will gain insider knowledge on how to spread brand messages and ideas to the greatest number of people using various social media platforms and tools. Albert, Stark, and the members of the advisory council will be among the presenters who will share their social media wisdom.
Early registration is $30.00 per ticket, which includes lunch and the half-day educational event. Tickets may be purchased at http://bit.ly/SMDames13Tickets.
